Welcome to our Children’s Ministry! Our prayer is that your child will experience the love of Jesus Christ and grow in the wisdom and knowledge of His grace.
Preschool Ministry
The purpose of the preschool ministry is to help every child:
- Associate God, Jesus, and the Bible with positive happy feelings
- Know that Jesus is a special friend who loves them
- Think of church as a place where they areloved and have happy experiences
- Think of home as a place of love and security
- Instill within the child a sense of self-worth
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)
Whatever age your child might be, there is a place for them at South Point and loving arms await them!
Children’s Ministry
This ministry is one of the most exciting areas of our church! Every week the sounds of children laughing, playing, singing, and learning more about Jesus echo through the buildings of our church, and we are extremely blessed for that. We have Sunday School classes for each age group, graded choirs, Awana’s - where they learn scripture, Bible stories, and play lots of exciting games, kid’s camps in the summer, Vacation Bible School, and all kinds of fun activities throughout the year.
The purpose of our children’s ministry is to:
- Help lead children to Christ by laying biblicalfoundations for Christian conversion
- Demonstrate through our teachers and workers the love of God to each child
- Teach children that going to church is important, exciting, and rewarding
- Nurture fellowship by helping each child make new friends
- Strengthen their family relationships with parents and siblings
- Build biblical values in children to help them overcome the struggles of this world
- Give guidance to them about God’s will for their lives
